Program Head's Welcome

The motivation for creating the International Executive MBA program in English has been the perception that mutual international cooperation can be enhanced when business leaders in both the public and private sectors in different countries and regions have studied together in the same academic program and have graduated from the same school of management.
The School of Management at the University of Haifa has been recognized as a pioneer in designing new and unique MBA programs in Israel, such as the MBA program specializing in managing non-profit organizations, the MBA program specializing in real-estate appraisal, and the current International Executive MBA program in English.
The innovative objectives of the School have been achieved while consistently maintaining excellence in terms of the content of the program’s courses, faculty, students and administrative staff in the school's various programs. To achieve our goals, we maintain close relationships with academia, the business community, as well as with our alumni who, for example, participate in interviewing applicants during the admission process.
High standards, along with a superb learning environment and the maturity, experience and heterogeneity of our students, have created an instructional atmosphere that is very productive and immensely enjoyable.
I invite you to participate in this exciting study environment and be part of our School of Management family.

Prof. Yossi Yagil
Head of the International Executive MBA program in English

Introduction
The motivation for creating the International Executive MBA program in English is to provide students the essential knowledge and skills that will help them advance in their careers and become better managers in the increasingly dynamic, complex and competitive global environment.
The Program has a global vision with a regional emphasis on doing business in the Far East (mainly Japan, China and India).

The international executive Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program in English at the Graduate School of Management, University of Haifa is modeled on some of the world's most successful business schools. This program incorporates leading-edge principles and practices of modern management education, and is taught by world renowned scholars in the field.
The program in English is being offered to students from diversified backgrounds. We believe that this heterogeneity will contribute to a fruitful academic atmosphere in the classroom, and will provide an opportunity to engage in extensive cross-cultural interaction.

The students and the program
While students come from varied professional, personal and academic backgrounds, they share a great deal in common: maturity, managerial experience, outstanding academic ability and an entrepreneurial spirit. The diversity of the participants creates a challenging and stimulating intellectual environment. The projects assigned in the program will reflect the creativity that results from the meeting of diverse cultures.

Our program is unique in that each cohort studies together throughout the program, sharing the same stimulating intellectual challenges.

The intensive international executive MBA Program in English is designed to be completed in about one year and a quarter, seven periods of eight weeks each, with additional extended workshops and seminars, and requires a commitment to participate in all courses, seminars, workshops and tutorials. This is the program for you if you are one of those busy people who want to study locally while learning globally!

For those students wanting a taste of real international experience, there may be an optional extra Joint International Seminar and Business Study Trip abroad. This is presently being planned with the University of Tongji in Shanghai, China.

The University of Haifa will grant a number of scholarships to qualified candidates based on merit.

Regular classes are conducted on Thursdays from 15:00-21:00, and on Fridays from 08:00 to 14:00. This fixed schedule allows students to successfully balance investment in their personal career development, with the necessity of work and the maintenance of family relationships.

The academic staff and administrative staff
Most faculty members of our Graduate School of Management have senior academic status and are well known and respected in the academic community. They are actively involved in academic research as well as in practical consulting, and maintain beneficial relationships with the business world. The teaching staff is supplemented by senior academics from universities abroad, who come to share their knowledge and vast experience, as well as experts in doing business in China, Japan and India.

Faculty members share a common vision for the School, emphasizing excellence in teaching, research and community involvement. The School's common vision includes an open door policy. Students are welcome and encouraged to interact with faculty members at any time. Students will find faculty members readily available for consultation, discussion and assistance in their studies.

In recognition of the intensity of this program we have assembled a professional, effective, efficient and attentive support staff. Students are encouraged to seek their assistance at all times.
